Matthew Siegel got woken up in the middle of the night to a loud crash, and to his surprise, he found a 600 lb cow elk that had crashed through the window well in his basement near Hailey, Idaho.
Large herds of elk are being driven into the Wood River Valley; because of the increased snowfall in the area. Siegel said it took local authorities more than 2 hours to get the elk safely out of his basement!
